Sacred Rhythm, Movement & Storytelling

In Aboriginal culture, dance is so much more than an art form. It represents our deep and inseparable connection with the natural world. It is a way to look back and access the spiritual potency of the Dreamtime. In short, it is a way to preserve our heritage through music and movement. At Dinawan's Connection in Dubbo, we are passionate about sharing our dance culture with the local community.

We run dance sessions to inform and inspire a range of audiences - from troubled youth to representatives from corporate and government bodies. Our dancers seamlessly weave together tradition and contemporary artistry to create truly mesmerising performances that educate audiences.

Sharing the Essence of Indigenous culture

For us, dance is a medium through which sacred knowledge is shared and not simply a means of entertainment. Through dance, we give audiences of all cultural backgrounds a chance to imbibe this wisdom. For example, our dances will:

  • Convey time-honoured narratives that have guided Aboriginal morality & helped preserve its uniqueness
  • Illustrate how plant, animal & human life are inseparably linked - an ancient belief in line with modern eco-science
  • Portray the importance of community, teamwork & continuing traditional practices

Our dance events are truly unforgettable and provide a unique insight into the Aboriginal culture. Their significance is sure to resonate long after the ceremony is finished.
